What Is Baccarat?
The Card Game Loved by Malaysian Players
Baccarat is a card game that originated in Europe and has become one of the most popular games at online casinos across Asia, including Malaysia. In its basic form, players bet on whether the Player hand or the Banker hand will get a card value closest to 9, or whether the result will be a Tie.
At w88ap, online baccarat is available in live casino format — meaning you watch a real dealer shuffle and deal cards in real time via high-quality video streaming. This gives you an atmosphere closer to playing at a physical casino, without going anywhere.
w88ap combines the convenience of a digital platform with the assurance of international licensing, making it a solid choice for Malaysian players who want to enjoy baccarat safely and comfortably from their own device.

Game Basics
How to Play Baccarat Step by Step
Baccarat is known for its straightforward rules. You do not need to master complex strategies to start playing. Here are the basics every w88ap player should know before sitting at a table.
- Choose your bet — Bet on Player, Banker or Tie before the cards are dealt.
- Cards are dealt — Each side receives two cards. The card value is counted using the last digit of the total.
- Third card if needed — The dealer follows fixed rules to decide whether a third card is drawn.
- Result — The side with a value closest to 9 wins. Banker bets typically carry a small commission.
- Other variations — w88ap also offers variations such as Speed Baccarat, Mini Baccarat and Squeeze Baccarat for added variety.
New w88ap players are eligible for a 200% bonus on their first deposit, with a maximum bonus value of RM888. This bonus can be used at online baccarat tables, slots and other games at w88ap.
For example, if you deposit RM100, you receive a bonus of RM200 — bringing your account balance to RM300. The wagering requirement is 15 times the bonus amount, meaning RM200 × 15 = RM3,000 must be reached before bonus winnings can be withdrawn.
Open a w88ap Account* 15x bonus wagering requirement. Example: deposit RM1,000 → bonus RM888 → balance RM1,888 → wagering RM888 × 15 = RM13,320. Check Terms & Conditions for full details.

Strategy & Tips
A Guide to Playing Baccarat Wisely
Baccarat relies heavily on luck, but there are approaches that can help you manage your playing sessions more consistently. The following tips are specifically for w88ap players at online baccarat tables.
Set a Budget Limit Before You Play
Decide how much you are willing to spend before opening a table. Do not go beyond that limit even if the session seems to be going well.
Understand the Odds of Each Bet
The Banker bet statistically carries a lower house edge compared to Tie. Understanding this difference helps you make more informed decisions.
Avoid Chasing Losses
If a session is not going your way, take a break. w88ap provides Responsible Gambling tools to help you manage your playing habits.
Try Different Tables for a Suitable Betting Range
w88ap offers tables with different betting limits. Start with a low-limit table if you are still new to the live baccarat format.
